International Women’s Day celebration

Many organisations also actively support International Women’s Day by organising internal events and through supporting external ones. For example, Accenture will be organising various events for its employees across 6 continents and expects more than 2,000 employees to participate in its International Women's Day activities. These activities include leadership development sessions, career workshops and corporate citizenship Corporate Citizenship.

The Day is now an official holiday in China, Armenia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. The United States even designates the whole month of March as 'Women's History Month'.

So make a difference, think globally and act locally. Make everyday International Women's Day. Do your bit to ensure that the future for girls is bright, equal, safe and rewarding.
