The Centre has appointed Justice Gurbax Rai Majithia to chair National Wage Boards for Working Journalists and Other Newspaper Employees. He subsequently replaced Justice Kurup as the Wage Board recommended 30 percent interim relief for newspaper employees.
Justice Kurup preceded the wage board for journalist established through a Government notification in May, 2007.
The newly appointed Chairman Justice Majithia is well versed in civil, company, constitution and Election matters.
