As per the World Development Report 200 million are unemployed, out of which 75 mn are under the age of 25. The report elaborates on the importance of job creation as it is a security against poverty and vulnerability as it leads to social and economic development. The reports estimates that if the current employment rate is to be maintained till 2020, 600 mn jobs would be required to be created in the global economy. This scenario has significant implications on individual countries migration policies as people will migrate from one country to another looking for jobs.
