10-Oct-2012 - Air India Pilots have addressed a letter to the Civil Aviation Minister, Ajit Singh demanding him to pay their salaries immediately.

Air India Pilots have addressed a letter to the Civil Aviation Minister, Ajit Singh demanding him to pay their salaries immediately. This is the second letter sent in three days to the minister. The members of Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA), have alleged that the minister is misinformed about regular payment of salary. They have stated that flying allowances that makes up 80% of their salaries has not been paid from June onwards. Payments that they received last month pertained to the month of April. They have appealed to the ministry listing burdens, of stress, inflation and interest payments that they need to recover from unpaid salaries.
