26-Dec-2012 - About 88% of respondents of a survey revealed that close ones are more anxious about working women’s safety as they receive more calls than usual about their wellbeing and whereabouts.

About 88% of respondents of a survey revealed that close ones are more anxious about working women’s safety as they receive more calls than usual about their wellbeing and whereabouts. 74% of respondents in the NCR region now leave right after their prescribed work hours. They find it safe to travel by metro but once they are away from the stations’ premises they feel insecure and vulnerable. They also feel that the increased security by placing police personnel, although is a safeguard, would only be short lived as long as the anger against the brutal rape reported in Delhi stays.
