Amrutlal Kanjaraiya procured a job in Bombay Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking via reservation. He was asked to produce documents certifying his SC/ST status. However the committee rejected his application for the certificate and the Bombay HC has questioned this. The HC has asked the Maharashtra government to look into the matter and probe into further allegations that the a remark made by pencil asking for Chairman’s signatures on the original document was also removed.
