As career opportunities thin in Europe, with a slowing economy, foreign executives are returning to India to be a part of a growing economy. These top management honchos find greater comfort in the cosmopolitan culture of cities, uniformity in language, good quality of education and time they manage to spend with their family. They can get the best of all worlds in as much an income they received in their home countries. Among various executives that had previously worked in India and have now returned are, Karl Slynn MD of GM who will join as MD for Tata Motors; Mark Ashman, the mastermind behind M&S’s retail strategy in India who is to become the CEO of K Raheja group; Wilfried Aulbur of Roland group who will move in India to advance operations in the country and many others.
