The government has allocated INR 1900 crore to train 15 lac textile workers under the ISDS (integrated Skill Development Scheme).
The government has allocated INR 1900 crore to train 15 lac textile workers under the ISDS (integrated Skill Development Scheme). This objective has been set under the 12th V year plan and as of Oct, 2012 74,094 people have been trained. The scheme seeks to provide necessary training to skilled manpower in conjunction with training institutes, Textile Ministry and the industry’s implementing agencies. The government shares 75% of the cost and the rest is contributed by the agencies.
