Regional PF Commissioner-I, Bangalore, Kamma Narayana has said that the government is putting forward a proposal to provide all Provident Fund Account holders with life-time validity a unique number. Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) confirmed this asserting that an employee will have the same number even if he changes jobs. Although this move is in a proposal stage now Narayana said that the government is hopeful that it will be implemented within this financial year.
