ITC that had a mere 1% of female employees is now targeting to increase it from 15% to 30% as its new business strategy. With more products related to lifestyle, personal care, packaged food, and hospitality, women professionals are expected to be more suited to form strategies that would appeal home-makers. 30% of campus placements would in future consist of women and the company has already identified 20 mid-senior level management executives that would take up senior positions.
