02-Apr-2013 - When Assocham compared statistics for current Oct-March to that of the previous year’s it found job creation has fallen from 3.17 lakh to 2.72 lakh, a 14.1% drop.

When Assocham compared statistics for current Oct-March to that of the previous year’s it found job creation has fallen from 3.17 lakh to 2.72 lakh, a 14.1% drop. The main reasons attributed are slowing economy and unpredictable policies. The largest decline of 50% is in textiles, followed by logistics’ 41%, IT/hardware and FMCG that have seen a decline of 40.2% each and engineering 40%.
