Labour Bureau study shows increasing job generation in sectors - April 1, 2013

As against the 1.68 lakh jobs created in the second half of 2012, 1.54 lakh jobs were created in first half of the year.

As against the 1.68 lakh jobs created in the second half of 2012, 1.54 lakh jobs were created in first half of the year. The study also notices that companies are hiring more of contractual labour, that grew by 59000 as against a decline of 27000 at the start of 2012. 1.09 regular workers were hired in second half of the year as against 1.81 lakhs in the beginning of the year.
