Many luxury stores in India face an issue of hiring people who are adequately trained, well-mannered and versed in English. Luxury retail stores like Hugo Boss, Christian Dior, Jimmy Choo, Burberry etc. don’t just require salesperson, but those who can help build a shopping experience for the customer helping them purchase things that suit their needs and tastes. A lot of personnel is being hired from the hospitality industry and aviation as they have been trained in etiquettes and can speak fluent English. A survey by LuxuryConnect shows that 69% of store managers and owners wish to have people especially trained in luxury retail sales as 15% of them are dissatisfied with their staff while 54% are ‘somewhat satisfied’.
