Proposal to reward better performance forwarded in Lok Sabha - August 31, 2012

Minister of State for Personnel V Narayanasamy told Lok Sabha that the government has accepted the proposal to provide performance based incentives to Central Government employees as per the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission.

Minister of State for Personnel V Narayanasamy told Lok Sabha that the government has accepted the proposal to provide performance based incentives to Central Government employees as per the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission. The government has proposed to introduce a Performance Related Incentive Scheme (PRIS) that measures performance based on many parameters and provides incentives to employees over and above their regular salary. The non-planned budget of the government would provide for these incentives.
