The number of companies come to recruit has increased from 65 to 100 per 250 students this year. Two students have been offered packages worth 38 lakh per annum, 3.5 times more than the highest package ever offered. Innovation and design are the differentiating factor in the global market. Industry experts have reused that the upward mobility into the middle class is creating a lot of demand for high utility and better designed lifestyle products. NID too has taken many recruitment initiatives such as open up an employment portal as well as a forum to display students’ designs on an international platform.
