As per Manpower Employment Outlook Survey hiring in India is going to be slower than it was in the past two years.

As per Manpower Employment Outlook Survey hiring in India is going to be slower than it was in the past two years. The effects of global slowdown and a precarious job market will be evident in October-December period, as only 27% of India’s employers wish to further expand their workforce. Rest of the employers are to retain their current strength of employees. The survey also compared India’s job scenario with other countries and found that Taiwan has replaced India as the country with most job prospects. While China and Brazil, like India are facing a slowdown in hiring in all the sectors. The few sectors in India that show relatively better hiring sentiment are Finance, Insurance and Real estate sector (32%), wholesale retail trade(27%), manufacturing (22%) ans services (21%). This slow pace in hiring attributes to uncertainty and slowdown in economies of most countries.
