TN Government hikes DA following Central Government’s suit - October 5, 2012

The Tamil Nadu government has hiked dearness allowance by 7% for its employees and has also extended the benefit to pensioners.

The Tamil Nadu government has hiked dearness allowance by 7% for its employees and has also extended the benefit to pensioners. TN CM Jayalalitha also said that it will be providing a similar hike to teachers. The state government will incur an expenditure of INR 1,443.50 crore annually with this hike and about 18 lakh people will benefit out of it.
