In line with that of the corporate sector, Central Government officials including IAS, IPS and other ranks will be getting performance-based incentives from the next financial year, a top bureaucrat said today. According to Prajapati Trivedi, secretary, department of performance management, Government of India, the incentive for secretary level officials could go as high as 40 per cent of the basic pay.
