A Planning Commission Expert Group reported that Venture Capital Investments can give rise to about 4 crore job opportunities in India. The government is showing immense support for Venture Capitalism as it believes it will boost the entrepreneurship environment in India. The expert group have estimated creation of 2500 new high growth ventures and have even recommended that a National Entrepreneurship Mission be established that will guide capitalists, engage different stakeholders and concerned agencies and create an entrepreneurship movement in India.
