Gender Pay Gap in India - September 2012

Report on Gender Pay Gap in India is based on the preliminary findings of Paycheck India Salary Data. The report aims at quantifying the magnitude of gender-based disparities that women face in the organized sector of the Indian labour market, and track their progress over time. The extent of the gender pay gap is measured on various parameters such as age, educational qualifications, industry, work experience, designation, type of contract, level of skill, marital status, etc. The report also attempts to enquire into the possible reasons for the prevalence of this gap.

Gender Pay Gap in the Indian Formal Sector: 2006 - 2013

The Gender Pay Gap in India 2013 report is based on Paycheck India Salary Data generated between 2006 and 2013 (June), through the online voluntary Salary Survey of Paycheck India. An earlier version of the report was published in 2012. This report covers a wider audience and is based on latest and improved data collected through salary survey. The report is based on 21,552 respondents over a period of 7.5 years (from 2006 -2013 (June)), out of which 18,043 were males and 3,509 were females. The report measure gender-based disparities that women face in the organized sector of the Indian labour market.

Meal Vouchers as an Employee Benefit in IT/ITES Sector: Some Issues in Indian Context

The share of meal benefits in the form of tax benefit, in the total compensation of Indian formal sector employees has been constantly decreasing in relative terms. It has failed to match with the continuous rise in food prices.
