Criticising the government policies on FDI and Privatisation of banks, AIBEA, All India Bank Association has said that instead of creating employment, they may in fact create unemployment. Its general secretary R Venkatchalam has estimated a loss of 15 crore jobs. He said that instead of addressing the poor and unemployed, the government’s policies are for millionaires and billionaires, and that MNCs will only care about profits, for which they may even reduce manpower.
