07-Sept-2012 - Until 2011 joining bonuses that ranged from 15% to as high as 100% of the salary, were given to newcomers for luring talent.

Until 2011 joining bonuses that ranged from 15% to as high as 100% of the salary, were given to newcomers for luring talent. Now, many companies have either completely stopped giving out these bonuses or they have downsized them. Employees of junior and mid level management are most affected as joining bonuses for top level management in some cases remain as high as 25% of Cost to Company.
