Employees of Deccan Chronicle threaten to strike over unpaid bonuses - December 18, 2012

19-Dec-2012 - A union that contains the membership of 1000 employees i.e. half the publisher’s workforce has threatened to strike because bonuses due on 1st December are still unpaid.

A union that contains the membership of 1000 employees i.e. half the publisher’s workforce has threatened to strike because bonuses due on 1st December are still unpaid. The management is resolving the issue and on this account the strike was postponed from the initial 48 hours buffer after the notice. Along with this 4 directors have also resigned and Canara Bank is auditing the paper for an alleged fraud. The publisher has defaulted on loans and has allegedly given out already pawned shares.
