In response to an RTI query the Ministry said that after installation of biometric attendance system, the ministry’s average per month overtime allowance to the employees has come down by around one fourth thus reducing the overall amount to Rs 62,600 approximately from earlier cost of nearly Rs 2,26,978 per month.
