13-Sept-2012 - Global tech and IT firms are looking at recruiting non-IITians from NITs and other well graded private colleges. This new strategy aims to bring diversity of culture and filling in for the high demand for graduates that cannot be met with a few hundreds from IITs.

Global tech and IT firms are looking at recruiting non-IITians from NITs and other well graded private colleges. This new strategy aims to bring diversity of culture and filling in for the high demand for graduates that cannot be met with a few hundreds from IITs. They have observed that students from Tier II and II colleges have high aptitude and high emotional quotient. Companies like IBM, Amazon, Google, PepsiCo, Yahoo, Cisco, Oracle, Deloitte, Adobe, DE Shaw, Flipkart, Direct-i, Caterpillar and Future First are offering higher salaries ranging from 8 to 20 lakhs and better perks.
