The monster index has had the biggest jump in a year, picking up by 10% from Dec-2012 at 1150 to January-2013 at 1270. IT, software, BPO, banking, Oil and Gas sectors have shown the biggest improvement while telecom and insurance experienced a slump in hiring. Delhi Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore have picked up on hiring within the range of 10-16%. Pune is the only city that witnessed a hiring lower by 2%.
