Making it a first for India, the govt. is planning to come out with quarterly data on different aspects of labour markets, later this year. The data will be compiled by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and it will bring out the quarterly data about the labour force participation ratio, i.e. the proportion of population actively contributing to production of goods and services.
